      Palladium has a dizzying array of skills scatteted across more books that any sane person needs. So, I have compiled a document with hopefully the needed skills only HERE

      1. A Note on Kinetic Barriers [SHIELDS]

        Kinetic barriers, or "shields", provide protection against most mass accelerator and kinetic weapons. Whether on a starship or a suit of armour, the basic principle remains the same. Kinetic barriers are repulsive mass effect fields projected from tiny emitters. These shields safely deflect small objects traveling at rapid velocities. This affords protection from bullets and other dangerous projectiles, but still allows the user to sit down without knocking away their chair. The shielding afforded by kinetic barriers does not protect against extremes of temperature, toxins, or radiation.

        Due to their design, standard barriers will not protect against energy weapons, or slower hand to hand attacks. Due to the nature of particle weapon emissions, standard barriers are effective against these weapons.

        An Omni-Shield projected from an Omni-Tool however is a more dense defensive Kinetic barrier that unlike other barriers can protect even against melee attacks. Used to Parry this will block a melee attack. Correctly optimised Omni Tools will monitor power usage & adjust accordingly and this shield, if undamaged for 30 seconds it will regenerate in the same manner as suit shields
