A Typical Emergency Station These minimally staffed outposts are scattered throughout the settled systems, maintained by the Citadel Fleet, they are refuges for ships in distress in less populous systems. Duty on one of these outposts is typically seen as punishment as they are the most boring posts available. In well populated systems, the E-Stat may be unmanned and simply checked periodically.
TRANSTAR LIGHT FREIGHTER
Typical Transtar Owned Light Freighter Originally classified as a Spartan Class exploration vessel, the Earth Alliance built twenty or so of these ships when they began expanding out from the Sol system. However, after first contact with the Turians, and the realisation that exploration was going to require larger and better equipped vehicles, these light vessels were relegated to follow up survey duties, and eventually decommisioned. Transtar purchased the decommisoned vessels years ago and converted them to light freighters. While they lack the capacity of more modern Kowloon (Medium), Athakabasa (Heavy) or Conway (Super Heavy) freighters, their sturdy construction and longer range is advantageous for a light class freighter.
